In this dissertation, I will research the application of blockchain in terms of accounting and auditing in China. In order to complete this research, the following applies:

 

As for the research philosophy that I’m going to use, there are two options:

• Positivism – Researchers are inclined to explain the world based on subjective facts and evidence.

• Interpretivism – Researchers are discovering the world phenomena from a subjective view within an interpretivism framework.

 

Researchers will pay more attention to the subjective feelings and opinions of the people who are involved in the case (Saunders et al., 2015). A mixed-method is explored, resulting in interpretive analysis, the reason being is the strength of research and development to be presented below.

For the research method, many factors should be taken into consideration (Creswell, 2014). A combination of a research method and review will be mixed as follows:

• Quantitative research method – Prepared questions compared with data collection methods analyzed carefully.

• Literature review - Analyzing collated the data and literature information from the public.

 

The target questionnaire respondents are Chinese workers who are currently working in companies applying blockchain technology in their financial system. The sample size analyzes approximately 100 respondents.’ Questionnaires are distributed online in the current field. Online distribution for the questionnaire is sent using: Weibo, WeChat Circle and blogs. Data is processed and analyzed with the theme of this study.
